If you’re pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, your mind is likely racing with questions. Chief among them is how you’ll be able to receive the assistance you need to make an adoption plan, pick an adoptive family if you so choose, and get continual support during and after the adoption process.
You can find adoption assistance throughout the state of Missouri. One such resource is the Missouri Alternatives to Abortion program, which connects pregnant women who would like to carry their child to term with the real support and resources they need to succeed.
Who Qualifies for This Program?
You may be eligible for the Missouri Alternatives to Abortion Program if you are a pregnant woman who:
- Wants to carry her child to term instead of having an abortion
- Are a United States citizen who lives in Missouri
- Make less than 185% of the federal poverty level
The program offers various services for those who qualify, including adoption assistance, case management, educational services, and some prenatal care.
What Kind of Adoption Assistance Can I Receive?
Adoption assistance provided through the program ensures you can select an adoption agency and form an adoption plan. On our “Resources” page, you can search for adoption agencies who have partnered with our program, including A Gift of Hope Adoptions and Bethany Christian Services.
Feeling alone and unsure of where to turn? We’re here to support you with the resources you need to move forward confidently. Our program has a strong network of providers that can help you every step of the way.
