Pregnancy Services Through the A2A Program
If you are looking for resources to make carrying to term and parenting both affordable and manageable, here are some of the services available to you during pregnancy.
Pregnancy & Newborn Supplies
Supplies you need for your baby can get expensive, but the cost of providing material supplies for your child shouldn’t be a stress factor. Our network offers the following for you and your baby:
- Feeding supplies like bottles, bibs, burp cloths, pacifiers, and breastfeeding and nursing supplies
- Client and baby hygiene products such as diapers, wipes, toiletries, and bathing supplies
- A safe sleep surface for the infant like a crib, baby mattress, cradle, bassinet, Pack N Play, and sheets and bedding
- Household paper products like toilet paper and paper towels
- Client or infant health products such as a thermometer and first aid kit
- Baby safety supplies like a car seat, safety gate, and strollers
Nutritious Food
Eating a well-balanced diet during pregnancy is essential.
Healthy vitamins, minerals, fats, proteins, and other nutrients help your body function correctly and provide the right building blocks for your baby’s development. If you are not eligible for SNAP or WIC, our network of providers can help you access the food you need.
Emergency Housing, Rent Assistance, and Utilities Assistance
Whether you need help covering your rent or mortgage payments or are homeless and need emergency or long-term housing, the A2A program providers can help. Up to 30 days of emergency housing can be covered through the program and you can access the assistance you need in meeting your housing financial responsibilities.
Healthy Lifestyle Choices
There are many actions women can take to ensure healthier pregnancy outcomes. These include getting enough sleep, exercising, and drinking plenty of water. Quitting smoking and drugs and abstaining from alcohol will also improve your and your baby’s health.
If you are struggling with a drug or alcohol addiction, the A2A program can connect you with organizations able to assist you through pregnancy.
Domestic Violence Protection
If you’re a victim of domestic abuse, the A2A program offers services to cover obtaining domestic abuse protection—your safety matters. If you need help now, call the domestic abuse hotline at 800-799-7233 or text START to 88788.
Transportation
If you need transportation to the store, doctor’s appointments, and other trips critical to your health and well-being, you could qualify for various transportation assistance, from bus passes to car payments. The type of support will depend on your current situation.
Adoption Assistance
If you choose adoption, your next steps will include selecting an adoption agency and creating an adoption plan for your child. You can search for adoption agencies included in the A2A program on our Resources page.
When Your Baby Arrives
After your baby arrives while enrolled in the A2A program, you will qualify for additional parenting support and supplies.
