Frequently Asked Questions About A2A
If you have a question that isn’t answered in our FAQs, please get in touch so we can help.
The two abortion alternatives are parenting and adoption. Both involve carrying your pregnancy to term. If you meet the program qualifications, you can receive free support services to help cover your costs.
We can refer you to support services, including parenting skills education, some medical care/pregnancy health care, domestic abuse protection, and more. Visit our Resources page to find helpful organizations near you.
There’s a lot to consider when you find out you’re pregnant. If you qualify for the Alternatives to Abortion Program, you can receive certain free pregnancy services first to ensure you’re healthy.
Afterward, you will want to consider your needs and ensure you can meet them throughout pregnancy. Once enrolled in our program, you can receive assistance with housing, food, transportation, supplies, and other necessities.
You are eligible if you are a pregnant woman who:
- Wants to carry your unborn child to term instead of having an abortion;
- Is a United States resident who lives in Missouri;
- Makes less than 185% of the federal poverty level based on your latest tax filing.
Our partner organizations offer support and resources from when you become pregnant, during pregnancy, and through your child’s first birthday.
The Alternatives to Abortion Program can help eligible families pay for some childcare co-payments and registration fees. Learn more by contacting the provider closest to you.
You’re welcome to contact us with more questions or reach out to our partner organizations directly.
